Blake Shelton is the busiest man in country music this moment. Hit song on the radio, hit TV show role and people are hitting the arenas to see him live.
‘March Madness’ is here with 64 teams bidding to be the NCAA college basketball champion. A sport that connects small and large communities, played by everyone and rivaled with brackets, where the small town grocery store clerk can out pick the winners of the most well informed sports reporter. Blake
says his busy schedule is not the reason he skips the annual NCAA March Madness ‘hoopla.’
“My best friend that I grew up with, he has a ‘Gentlemen’s Start Your Livers’ weekend,” Blake tells Albright & O'Malley & Brenner. “It’s like a two week thing that he does for March [Madness], or however long that goes on and I’ve never gone to it because I said, ’Man I don’t know much about basketball’.”

Blake does reveal that he had a particular move on the court during his playing days.
“Well, they use to call me ‘Hook Shot Shelton’ back in the day, back in high school,” Blake reveals to Albright & O'Malley & Brenner. “When I’d play basketball I would throw a hook shot, I never make any ‘Hook Shot!’ because you can do that when you are running away from everybody.”
His latest top 20 single is 'No Body' and he has been on the road during his 'Back To The Honky Tonk' Tour
Blake
is on his final season, 23, of ‘The Voice’ Mondays & Tuesdays at 8:00pm ET on NBC.
